I was lucky to be in London when Pick Me Up exhibition returned for the third years. It was one of the biggest contemporary graphic art fair that showcased over 20 international graphic artists and illustrators.
I was never a big fan of graphic arts and illustrations but I did enjoy this exhibition. Wall after wall, room after room, there were full of arts of different styles, themes and nationalities.
Here are some of the photos that I’ve taken during my visit:
Pick Me Up was held at Somerset House. There was a crazy crowd queing to get into the exhibition on a Thursday evening, and I was one of them!
Zim and Zou, Back to Basics Installation was the first art displayed that caught my eyes.
Mimi Leung, Yoko Furusho and Yuko Michishita’s artworks.
My favourite Kristjana Williams artwork.
ADC Young Guns winner in 2010, Martin Nicolausson.
Beach London joined Pick Me Up exhibition this year to showcase works from Seems, Nieves Books, Lubok and more.
People of Print, established in 2008 to sell the work of emerging artists across the globe.
There were a series of workshops held in the exhibitions.
I was overwhelmed by the extensive artworks in the exhibition. there were too much to see and learn in a short time. Given that I had only 1 hour to spend in the exhibition, I’ve missed out some of the artworks displayed and workshops.
To make up the losses, I’d bought a souvenir – Pick Me Up Select limited edition postcard box set that contains work by each of the artists of this year exhibition.
I’ve bought one for myself, and one for you!!
To receive this postcard box set, you’ll just have to leave a comment on this post by April 10. A lucky winner will be selected randomly.
